"Skull" Watch Dials

People ask me why I paint skulls on watch dials?...it is a simple enough question. To me the skull, is the symbol of mortality, a symbol of time passing to its logical and final conclusion. I find this image to be intensely poignant and aesthetically pleasing, when juxtaposed on a time piece which records every second of every moment, without a thought of mortality.

I am tired of fighting depression, searching for answers.
Maybe it is in this darkness that creativity is born,

seeping through the cracks of self doubt. 

It is part of me and I need to accept it and somehow embrace it.
