IN PROGRESS: Oil on Paper Studies for 3 stained glass panels: "Tropical Night Garden"

The new "Tropical Night Garden" Studies are hopefully to be used as references for a series of stained glass panels. A project which is under discussion for possible commission. Having only a very basic knowledge of working with stained glass, it is an exciting to try and create a work in this medium. To satisfy an aesthetic vision and work with the practical and physical constraints of the medium is a real challenge.

Disappointed to learn this week that my exhibition scheduled to open late June in Firenze, has been cancelled.
I am hoping that the closing of this door, will allow another to open, but I was looking forward to this particular project.
Cest la vie or should I say....tale è vita.

I gaze upon the still water
moon soaked,sullen and silent.
The tide pulls me in,
with each breath I feel a closeness...

like a struggling child in the arms of a determined mother.
